I've learned the hard way that when an emotional storm hits your life, it completely knocks you off balance and sends your life reeling. Like nature's storms, a crisis that rips through your life is like a blender bringing all the old crud and junk from the past and mixing it up all over again. You may have thought that you put those demons to rest, but once you're thrown off balance, facing all your worst insecurities, it all comes back to haunt you all over again.
 
The thing standing between you and more peace of mind and emotional freedom is your unwillingness to let go. Right now you're probably feeling stuck in a place of resistance, fearing first, and assuming the worst.It's kind of like driving a car, and having one foot on the gas and the other on the brake pedal. You're going nowhere fast.
 
I know that you’re having a problem with the way that you feel about your body and feeling so frustrated because no diet is working and you’re doing everything you can to lose weight but it seems like every single time you want to lose weight, you make another commitment to yourself and then something happens where life smacks you upside your head and you just feel like you’re lost and you don’t know what to do. And because I’ve been there. Let me explain to you what I mean. I know what it’s like to constantly reach for food when you’re not hungry. I know that because I’ve lived most of my life that way and to feel like there’s nothing else and to feel like it’s the only way that you can cling on, it’s like that superwoman braclet that gives you the power to be able to juggle everything else, every responsibility in your day, every demand on your time, everything that is just kind of heaped on top of you, being able to look forward to a reward of something that you can enjoy for yourself. It’s your way of taking care of yourself. What I’ve learned from that experience is that I’ve wasted a lot of time hating myself for something that I was never really taught how to do for myself. Now I know that eating in that way is not a way of taking care of myself. It’s actually a way of hurting myself and shutting down the voice of wisdom that does want to help me be more gentle and more loving. It’s a way of shutting out the world and what I’ve really learned is that because I had no sense of being comfortable with saying, “no,”

I learned that through different types of coaching. I went through a coaching certification training but it was actually the 4 years that I spent going through 2 different practitioner and master practitioner trainings in NLP that really made it clear to me. The first time that I learned about beliefs, I had no idea what they were and how they can actually affect your life and cause you to do things that are often in conflict with what you really want.

Since I got my certification in coaching in 2004 my life is completely different and that inspired me to reach out and help others. What I have done is that I give other people the tools that I’ve been taught, and the things that I’ve learned that have helped me to put my life in perspective and to really create an action plan for my life. When things aren’t working, I know what I can do to change that.

I’ve helped other women by sharing my own experience. All my goofs, I want them to be other women’s gains.

This one particular woman who came to me was feeling so lost and frustrated because she had tried every diet imaginable and she had tremendous issues. She had been sexually abused throughout her youth. She was anorexic and bulimic and she had no way of handling food. Food was always her go to. She had once said that nobody loved her as much as food did. And by teaching her new ways of looking at food and feeling safe around it, because she never felt safe around it, She always felt like she had to earn the right to be able to enjoy something or that she was cheating on a diet or something. So she was always struggling with that imbalanced relationship that she had with food and it reflected on her body how she was living her life. Because she felt that she could never trust herself around food, she felt she was wrong or that there was something bad about her. And after she went through my Losing Weight without Dieting coaching program, where I taught her these stress relief tools and mindful eating exercises, she went on to lose 60 pounds. She stopped the anorexia and she stopped vomiting.
